Last Sunday we went Trick or Treating in my in-law's 55+ community. Chase brought his girlfriend, Chloe. Old people live for days like this, so they had all kinds of candy and snacks set up for the kids. Needless to say, Chase and Chloe were on a bit of a sugar high.

Oink....
My poor baby has been super sick with the Swine Flu!!! Thus the reason for a lack of posting this week. I hope to be back on track next week...
Chase is doing sooooooooo much better! No more fever - which is a huge relief. He does have a cough still and the doctors may want an x-ray Monday to rule out Pneumonia.
Happy Halloween!! We plan to lay low again today but may take the boy out for a brief trip around the 'hood to get us more candy! ;)

For Realz?
When did it suddenly become ok to ask someone if they are pregnant?? I would NEVER ask a women if she was pregnant even if it was totally obvious.
Yeah, I have a little weight from the baby that was born 2+ years ago, but I'm not Angelia Jolie who somehow looses her baby weight in a matter of hours - I'm still trying to figure that one out. Nor do I have a drug habit, drinking habit, smoking habit, eating disorder, ect. that would make me loose the last 10 lbs. I gained.
I do need to loose some weight, but not because of how other people see me, but because of how I see myself. Also, I want to live a healthier lifestyle so I can live a long, happy, healthy life.
Weight Watchers - here I come! :( <---- sad face because I love food...
** Pics of trick or treating Sunday coming later today.

Sneak Peek - Halloween 2009
Chase's Halloween costume arrived yesterday. When we showed it to him, he freaked out! I don't think I have EVER seen the kid so excited. He LOVES it. In fact, this morning he asked me where it was so he could look at it. It's a little big, but I will fix it before we go trick-or-treating in my in-laws 55+ community on Sunday.

What's On Your Counters?
This is our tiny kitchen. Tiny is a relevant term - I know it could be much smaller, but I also know it could be much bigger.
When we moved into our house 6 years ago, our kitchen was the WORST!! The cabinets were 80's wood, the counters were hunter green and really shinny, the floors were dirty linoleum and the appliances were mismatched.
A year after we moved in Rob took a week off work and totally renovated the kitchen. We could not afford new cabinets so he painted them white. The new appliances were a gift from my mother (along with my Dyson vacuum!!!). The counter tops are standard Home Depot stock. The floors are ceramic tile. By no means is this my dream kitchen, but it was an affordable renovation that makes the room tolerable until 1) we can afford a true renovation or 2) we move. So, Saturday I was cleaning and decided to take a picture of my counter tops. They are RARELY this clutter free. If I had it my way, there would be nothing on the counter tops, but it's just not reality for us.
What do you have on your counter tops? Are they totally clutter free?

Received, Getting, Waiting....
I received these shoes in the mail from Nine West Monday night. I LOVE them, but they kinda hurt my heal. :( I put these heal pads in them lastnight and they are much better now!! I think I just need to break them in. They are adorable and I plan to wear the h*ll out of them!
I'm getting Chase a Ryan Howard Phillies T today. He needs one to add to his collection. He loves Ryan Howard. He knows the names of most of the players as well as their positions.
I ordered this headband from the Etsy shop Lou and Lee. I have been checking my mail daily for it. I ordered the adult version so the headband part is skinny. I can't wait to wear it!!!!!
GO PHILS!!!!!!!

Halloween is Coming....
Saturday, I ordered Chase this Dirty Bike Driver costume for Halloween. I have been asking him for a few weeks what he wants to be for Halloween and he always says "a dirt bike driver"... So I finally ordered it Saturday. I hope he likes it. It's ok... I would prefer something homemade or more creative, but oh well! He knows what he wants/likes!! We have trick-or-treating Sunday afternoon around my in-laws neighborhood so I should get some good pics of him. I can't wait!!!

New and Loving...
I LOVE this freakin awesome shirt I found Chase at Target (yeah, Target) yesterday!! There were only two left and I HAD to get it for him. He loves it too... Rob told him Rocky is the "champ" and is from "Philadelphia" so when I came into his bedroom he looked at me and said "Rocky's the champ Philadelphia"... So cute!!
His face still isn't 100% from the impetigo yet. I've been putting the Mederma and coco butter on the marks and they do seem to be fading a bit. I hope they are gone by Christmas Picture time!!
My new ring! I *heart* it!!

Please, Please, Please!!!!!
Chase, I love you so much, but can you PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE grow out of the terrible twos soon? I hear three is worse than two - please God give me the strength!!
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23.
Fashion Crisis???
I love these three outfits from JCrew! LOVE them! I have a feeling I could make the third shirt for a fraction of the price. Lately, I've been having a bit of a fashion crisis. I LIVE for cloths, shoes, accesories, ect. I read fashion magazines like books. I can't tell you the last book I read, but I can tell you that this months Marie Claire has an great article about what people carry in their bags. My point is, that as much as I love fashion, I don't feel fashionable. I feel blah. I feel like I dress like a boy.
Check out the outfit below. This is what I wore to work yesterday... A grey t (wear it atleast 1 time a week to work and twice on the weekends), a cardigan (wear them all the time), wide leg khakis (are they still fashionable??) and my black uggs. I felt like a boy in this outfit, yet I wear similar cloths all the time. I LOVE my uggs and can not give them up, but maybe it's best to save them for the weekends and casual Friday at work. How about the t? I guess I could dress it up with jewelry and wear it with a cute skirt and tights to work and at home with jeans and uggs (again, not giving up the uggs). I love the whole "California" girl style. Not surfer, but casual/nice/"I don't give a hoot what other people think of me" style. The final pic is from one my new favorite blogs - Ascot Friday. I LOVE her sun glasses! Can you get Ray Bans as an Rx? I hope so! I've wanted them for a while, just never had the ends (money) to buy them. Anyway, her style is very "California". Another blog, Everything I Love, is one of my favorites for fashion and decor inspiration.
My solution is to start purging and shopping. I can't shop too much, but I do love a good trip to the thrift store (without a 2 year old)! I need to add some basic, classic pieces to my wardrobe that will never go out of style. Kinda like a uniform that I add other, more trendy pieces to. I need to get out of this rut ASAP! I don't want to become one of those mothers at daycare who pick their kids up in a 1998 swishy tract suit with matching leather, white keds. It's just not me, but I feel myself falling into the "mom" rut. Wish me luck! I will let you know how I make out with my mission.

Random Thoughts...
I'm LOVING the new Weezer song! I heard it on my way to work this morning and it made my day... Along with a Phils win lastnight!! Crazy game!! On to the NLCS!!!
"Your mom cooked meat loaf, even though I don’t eat meat
I dug you so much,I took some for the team" - great line from If You're Wondering If I Want You To
Pumpkin Bagel time!! LOVE these things... A little too much! :) Not as much as Danielle... or Ryan (AKA: Mr. Shuester)

Ham and Pepperoni Bread
YUMMMMM!!! Rob decided yesterday that he wanted to make Ham and Pepperoni Bread for dinner. Prior to moving to NJ, I had never had either - I didn't know what I was missing!! The Pepperoni Bread is super yummy! The ham bread - not so much. Rob prefers the ham bread so that's why he makes both. Rob decided to let Chase help him. Chase was very into making both, but not into eating them. In fact, he refused which is nothing new in our house. Chase is not, and has never been, a good eater. Even as a baby, he wouldn't drink more than 4 oz's at a time of his formula. VERY frustrating. He hasn't gained any weight since June, but he's gotten taller. The doctor isn't worried, but I think he should have gained some weight through the summer. I was super sick this weekend with ANOTHER sinus infection. I feel alot better today though!:) We tried to find a Halloween costume for Chase yesterday - no luck. I am going to order one online. I wish I was talented enough to sew him a costume, but I'm not.
Happy Monday!!!

Verse
This was the verse from my calendar today:
Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen .
Hebrews 11:1

Bangolicious
I got my bangs cut lastnight... I like them! This isn't the best pic and I think they look better in person. I've decided to let my hair grow a bit, so I just got a trim lastnight and the bangs. I will probably change my mind about growing it out by the time I get it cut again.
I thought I would throw in a picture of my boy... His face is looking better and he's getting back to his normal self. He has on that darn McQueen shirt - again!
TGIF!!!

Why...
don't you smile like this when you aren't covered in the left over impetigo marks and chocolate from your donut?!?!? You are adorable and I need a picture like this, minus the marks and chocolate, for our Christmas cards.
I have started doing "Wacky Wednesdays" with Chase. Since I don't get enough one on one time with him, every Wednesday after school we do something fun. Most of the time we just go to Dunkin Donuts but he doesn't care. I wish I could spend everyday with him, but I must work. An opportunity may have presented itself for me to work SUPER early in the mornings (3:30 to 7:00) and be home with him during the day. I don't know what to do. It's not like I love my job or that I'm curing cancer or anything near important. In fact, I don't like my job - I tolerate it for a paycheck. I see lots of praying in the next few days.
